Gazebo
Surat Municipal Corporation has built up a "Gazebo" with capacity of 50 to 100 students in its empty plot located near the Science Centre and behind Maheshwari Bhavan. At present consumption of food items and beverages are prohibited in the campus of Science Centre and there is no designated area, where it can be served. Further by keeping in mind the inconvenience caused especially to the students from school / colleges / academic Institutions coming from outstation, the 'Gazebo' is built. This Gazebo can be used by the visiting school / college / academic Institution to the Science Centre by paying applicable deposit in advance to serve the ready food to its students. Moreover, the Gazebo can also be used by the Organization/Individual, who have booked Science Centre's Art Gallery / Auditorium / Amphitheatre, during their booked session for maximum of four hours (and in its multiplication) by paying applicable deposit in advance. Only vegetarian food can be served and activities or items banned by the Government cannot be performed in the Gazebo. This gazebo includes facilities of drinking water, bus/car parking, wash-rooms and adequate road for transportation.
Below are the rates for using Gazebo:

| 3. | Administrative charge/charge of cleaning/ electricity/water etc | Rs. 200/- | Time duration for 1 to 4 hours, and if it exceeds more than 4 hours, incremental rent of Rs. 200/- for another 4 hours has to be paid. |
