Astronomy, Through Ages Gallery (એસ્ટ્રોનોમી, થ્રુ એજીસ ગેલેરી)

Astronomy, Through Ages Gallery is developed at the second floor of the Science Centre, which consists of the information about the oldest branch of Science and Astronomy. The details are showcased through various panels and exhibits from the beginning of astronomy which includes ancient Greek, Babylon to Indian astronomy. Replica of Galleo's Telescope and a Diorama of Tyco Brahe's Observatory are shown in the gallery. There is also replica of eight planets of our Solar System. The details of the principle used in modern astronomy and unsolved questions of modern astronomy are also presented and the exhibit about how universe looks like when we observe through infrared, Visible light, radio waves etc. are shown. There is an exhibit that showcases the events happened after the expansion of Big Bang. Replica which describes the concept of Gravity Well in Space Science, the vastness of the universe and time taken by light to reach earth from Moon, Sun, Stars and Galaxy are also shown. One Quiz section is also prepared for visitors to interact and evaluate the gained knowledge after visiting the Astronomy, Through Ages Gallery.

''એસ્ટ્રોનોમી, થ્રુ એજીસ ગેલેરી'' સાયન્સ સેન્ટર સંકુલનાં દ્વિતિય માળ પર તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલ છે, જેમાં વિજ્ઞાનની સેોથી જૂની શાખા ખગોળ વિજ્ઞાન (એસ્ટ્રોનામી) વિશે માહિતી રજૂ કરવામાં આવેલ છે. શરૂઆતી ખગોળવિધ્યાથી ગ્રીક, બેબીલોન તથા ભારતીય ખગોળવિધ્યા વિશે વિવિધ પેનલ તથા એકઝીબીટસ દ્વારા માહિતી રજુ કરવામાં આવી છે. ગેલેલીયો દ્વારા તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલ ટેલીસ્કોપની પ્રતિકૃતિ તથા ટાયકો બ્રાહેની વેધશાળાનું દ્રશ્ય બતાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. અહીં સૂર્યમંડળના આઠ ગ્રહોની વિશાળ પ્રતિકૃતિ પણ પ્રદર્શિત કરવામાં આવી છે, તે ઉપરાંત આધુનિક ખગોળ વિધ્યામાં વપરાતા વિવિધ સિદ્બાંતો વિશેની વિગતો, આધુનિક ખગોળશાસ્ત્રના વણઉકેલ્યા પ્રશ્નો વિશેની માહિતી તેમજ બ્રહ્માંડને ઇન્ફ્રારેડ, દ્રશ્ય પ્રકાશ, રેડિયો તરંગ વિગેરેથી જોતા તે કેવું દેખાય છે તે દર્શાવતુ એકઝીબીટ તેમજ બિગબેંગને કારણે વિસ્તરણ પામતા બ્રહ્માંડમાં સમયની સારણીએ ઘટેલી ઘટનાઓ પ્રદર્શિત કરવામાં આવી છે. અવકાશ વિજ્ઞાનમાં ગ્રેવીટી વેલ (ગુરુત્વીય કૂવો) તરીકે ઓળખાતી સંકલ્પનાને સમજાવતી પ્રતિકૃતિ આ ગેલેરીમાં પ્રદર્શિત કરવામાં આવી છે. ચંદ્ર, સૂર્ય, તારાઓ, ગેલેકસી વિગેરે પરથી આવતો પ્રકાશ પૃથ્વી પર કેટલા સમયે પહોંચે છે તે દ્વારા બ્રહ્માંડની વિશાળતા દર્શાવવામાં આવી છે. સમગ્ર ગેલેરીની મુલાકાત બાદ મેળવેલ જ્ઞાનની ચકાસણી કરવા એક કિવઝ સેકશન તૈયાર કરેલ છે, જયાં મુલાકાતીઓ તેમના એસ્ટ્રોનોમી વિશેના જ્ઞાન વડે કિવઝના જવાબો આપી શકે છે.
