This section contains books in various regional languages to satisfy the needs of multilingual inhabitants of Surat-such as Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Oriya and so on. Here we have multi-purpose books on various subjects, both ancient and modern. The Novel section is separate. There are nearly 15,000 books in this section.

Regular subscription of 14 periodicals of national and international stature with a view to supply contemporary reading material readily available on information, education and entertainment to various readers. This section also contains 19 daily newspapers catering to people of varied reading interests.

A special provision is made for students to study peacefully who do not have suitable environment for study at their home. Students can visit and study silently or do their academic activities without making noise or disturbing other learners.
